
We provide custom hi-reliability keyboard assemblies and control panels designed to the requirements of our customers’ performance specification.
Our control panels and keyboard assemblies employ various state-of-the-art technologies in switching, lighting and displays that offer a wide assortment of features for diverse applications. Our illuminated switch and panel legends utilize LED, EL, or Incandescent light sources plus employing fibre optics to efficiently distribute the light. Backlighting is designed to meet aerospace lighting requirements per SAE-A7788 standards Night Vision Imaging (NVIS) per MIL-STD 3009.
We also provide sunlight readable, dead-front annunciators and switches for high ambient lighting conditions where determination of the on/off state is critical to the operator.
We utilize our patented metal dome switch technology which provides the following characteristics and performance:
- A thin panel profile
- A positive tactile response with a short stroke and high actuation force
- Low contact resistance and minimal contact bounce
- Reliability (life) in excess of 1,000,000 actuations.
Our keyboard assemblies are designed and produced to meet the environmental requirements of MIL-STD 810 and EMI requirements of MIL-STD 461. Individual switch elements are environmentally sealed. We offer integrated display/keyboard assemblies with optically enhanced and environmentally ruggedized displays. We take responsibility for the design and integrity of the entire front panel display assembly.
We also offer stand-alone I/O devices that incorporate keypads, displays, lighting, and microprocessor boards with I/O management. Testing capabilities include: comprehensive final functional testing; switch electrical and mechanical testing; photometric; and environmental testing, including environmental stress screening (ESS).
