WEDC Announces 5-Wire Resistive Touch Panel Production Shipments

Phoenix, AZ—November 27, 2006—White Electronic Designs Corporation (NASDAQ:WEDC), announces volume production shipments of 5-Wire Resistive touch-screen technology. Initial shipments are in support of a Tablet PC that requires advanced resistive touch performance. WEDC has a wide portfolio of screen sizes with offerings from 5.7 inches to as large as 50 inches.

WEDC has also shipped first volume deliveries of the Cheetah Resistive Controller. This DSP (digital signal processor) based controller achieves high performance with touch response as fast as 1ms. Controller performance is critical in high demand applications like POS and Gaming.

This marks an important milestone for WEDC as part of a strategic initiative to offer a complete suite of interface solutions. WEDC is also preparing production launch of Capacitive Touch products for Q2 2007.

WEDC views glass touch technology as critical to expansion of WEDC interface solutions. Effectively integrating numerous tactile, visual, audible and usability technologies allows WEDC to satisfy customer demands for complete interface solutions.
