WEDC Plans Production Runs for Its New PicoPad™ USB Keyboard
Phoenix, AZ—August 11, 2005—White Electronic Designs Corporation (NASDAQ:WEDC), a leading supplier of Industrial keypad and electronic systems has announced production plans for its popular industrial QWERTY keyboard tailored for challenging embedded computing applications. WEDC’s PicoPad™ is a sealed elastomer keypad, making it highly resistant to contaminants and ideal for users who need to clean and/or disinfect the keyboard surface. Introduced at the April Embedded Systems Conference, PicoPad incorporates electroluminescent backlight for low ambient light conditions and includes a mini-joystick for cursor control.

PicoPad evaluation units will be available in October 2006 at the promotional price of $89 each through the end of 2006. Customization options include color of the elastomer and case, language and application specific icons for the function keys. Future plans include optional wireless capability.
