WEDC Expands DDR2 Offering with 1GB DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered

Phoenix, AZ—May 16, 2006—White Electronic Designs Corporation (NASDAQ:WEDC) announces availability of its 1GB DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered FBGA. The device is a 128Mx64M Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) SDRAM memory module based on 1Gb DDR2 SDRAM components. The module consists of eight 128Mx8 components, in a Fine Ball Grid Array (FBGA) package mounted on a 200 pin Small-Outline DIMM (SO-DIMM) FR4 substrate.

Benefits include serial presence detect with EEPROM, DLL to align DQ and DQS transitions with CK, gold edge contacts and a single rank. The JEDEC-standard device is useful for a variety of high bandwidth, high performance memory system applications such as servers, network switching or embedded computer devices.

WEDC’s W3HG128M64EEU-D4 features 200 pin SO-DIMM, Raw Card “B”, offering fast data transfer rates of PC2-6400, PC2-5300, PC2-4200 and PC2-3200 (Consult factory for PC2-6400, PC2-5300 availability). The device offers differential data strobe option, multiple internal device banks for concurrent operation and supports duplicate output strobe.

Pricing and Availability
Defined as part number W3HG128M64EEU-D4, the 256MB DDR2 SDRAM is priced at $360.00 (US) each in volumes of 1,000 pieces with a lead-time of 4-6 weeks. All DDR2 modules are available as RoHS (Restrictions on Hazardous Substances).
