Small Form Factor PicoPad™ USB Keyboard for Industrial Computers
San Jose, CA—April 4, 2006 at the Embedded Systems Conference —White Electronic Designs Corporation (NASDAQ:WEDC), a leading supplier of industrial keypad and electronic systems, announces the introduction of an industrial QWERTY keyboard tailored to the most demanding embedded computation applications. White’s PicoPad™ is a sealed elastomer keypad, making it highly resistant to contaminants and ideal for users who need to clean and/or disinfect the keypad surface. PicoPad incorporates an electroluminescent backlight for low ambient light conditions and includes a mini-joystick for cursor control.

PicoPad evaluation kits will be available in May 2006 at $79.00 each. WEDC expects significant interest in customization of the Pico Pad. Customization options include color of the elastomer and case, language and application specific icons for the function keys. Plans are in place to offer a Bluetooth® wireless version later in 2006.
