Digital Printing provides the advantages of on-demand, short-run production to a variety of markets and offers offset quality printing on a wide array of substrates compatible with most industry standard finishing processes such as lamination and embossing. The combination of flexibility and innovation allows digital printing to produce high quality printed and personalized products quickly and easily on a variety of materials, including ceramic and laminate substrates. WEDC offers the following printing options:
Sandwich Printing
The Sandwich printing process involves separate images printed on the same side of a particular substrate, using multiple hits of ink as a barrier between the images. Effectively, one pass of the digital press yields two printed images each in a different viewing orientation.
Variable Data Printing
Variable data printing is a database driven process which allows multi-tiered personalization while still remaining cost-effective. Variable image coding is a process in which images have meaning. Using a database, various images are referenced and printed based on predetermined conditions.
Microtext Printing
As organizations continually face new security and tracking demands, the printing industry has developed several solutions. One such solution is Microtext, a printed font so small that it requires a magnifying glass to be read. Duplicating legibility at such a font size can be very difficult, therefore acting as a powerful deterrent to forgery.
Lenticular Printing
Lenticular printing utilzes a special lense substrate in combination with two or more interlaced images. Various effects can be achieved including flip, zoom, animation and 3-D.
